Things that make you happy
Merriam-Webster dictionary app in my phone defines happiness as a state of wellbeing and contentment. The science talks about the daily D.O.S.E. of happiness in terms of brain chemicals; Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphin. To me happiness is a contagious choice. A decision that you get to make every moment which plays a part on the person you will be.
Internet is filled with doodles of “happiness is ….”. They have gained expertise on knowing who and defining what makes us happy. There is no harm in letting them do that, I have my own yes, that’s exactly me moment when I see one, I can relate to. But nobody knows you the way you know yourself. So why don’t we take a moment of silence, close our eyes and recollect our happy memories. Let them bring a smile to our faces and maybe help us discover something new about ourselves.

- Happiness is serving in my church.
- Happiness is influencing the Sunday school kids.
- Happiness is getting to sleep late during holidays.
- Happiness is drinking steaming suja on a cold day.
- Happiness is getting to visit home during Christmas.
- Happiness is serving the nation through community.
- Happiness is sharing a warm meal with the loved ones.
- Happiness is being hugged back when I am hugging someone.
- Happiness is remembering a connecting verse when preparing for youth sermon.
