Single and Happy
Hello! Congratulations on being single and happy. You are awesome and strong. I love being single. I can wake up, eat, and bath when, what, where and how I wish to. One evening, on the way to the house service, a friend of mine said to me: “Isn’t it amazing to be able to go to the fellowship directly from the office without the burden of being home first and preparing the meal for the family?” On another occasion, another single friend said to me: “It is great to be able to make a plan and execute it right at that moment.” Singles, remember to count your blessings. Embrace this season. Work on yourself and your talents. Get to know yourself more. Be your best friend and take hold of your emotions. Your emotions and feelings might get out of your hand. Even while trying to be whole on your own, you still might want to be with someone who will be yours to call, one who will understand you, and walk with you in this journey called life. If you don’t have any desire as such, that is also absolutely fine. After all, it is your decision. But if you long for it, then; boys, be courageous and pursue the woman you love and show her that you can be the one for her. Girls, you may desire to be chased but remember only those who are running can be chased. So, in the meantime, work on yourself: build, equip and invent yourself. In the waiting, don’t be forgetting that the void inside of you cannot be filled by your partner, you can only be satisfied by the true love of Jesus. Grow in commitment to Him during this season you are in. The wait is never wasted. Rejoice and rejuvenate in His agape love. Jesus loves you and so do I.
